Do you need this

Signs this is the call to make

  • The gauge is below empty and the engine cut out
  • You misjudged the range on a long stretch of highway
  • The fuel gauge is faulty and you ran the tank dry
  • You put in the last few dollars and did not make the next station

What arrives

What the driver brings, and what he does with it

  • Petrol or diesel in a transport-approved container
  • Up to 20 litres delivered, enough to reach any station in the region
  • Fuel charged at pump price with the receipt attached to your invoice
  • Restart help, since a dry diesel usually needs its lines primed
  • A tow instead, if running dry damaged the fuel pump

How the job runs

A fuel delivery call, start to finish

Numbered because it genuinely happens in this order. Knowing the sequence is most of what makes waiting bearable.

  1. 01

    Tell dispatch petrol or diesel

And which grade. Putting the wrong one in is a far more expensive mistake than running out, so we confirm it twice.

  2. 02

Stay with the vehicle if it is safe

Hazards on, and off the travelled lane if you can still coast. The driver needs to reach the fuel filler.

  3. 03

    Fuel in, engine started

Twenty litres goes in from the container and the driver stays until the engine runs cleanly.

  4. 04

    Straight to a station

Fill up at the first station you reach. Running a tank near-dry pulls sediment off the bottom and into the fuel filter.

Fuel delivery questions

The things people ask before they agree to anything

How much fuel do you bring?

Up to 20 litres, comfortably enough to reach any station in the GTA. We are not a fuelling service, we are a get-you-moving service.

I put petrol in a diesel car. Can you fix that?

Do not start the engine. Call us for a tow instead. Fuel delivery will not help, and running a diesel on petrol for even a minute can destroy the injection pump.

My diesel ran dry and now it will not restart.

Common. Air gets into the fuel lines and most diesels need bleeding before they will fire. The driver primes the system on site; if it still will not start, it goes on the truck.

  • Slid into the ditch on a concession road at 11pm with no cell bars. They kept the truck rolling to where I said I was instead of giving up when the call dropped. Out in twenty minutes, no damage to the bumper.

  • Quoted me on the phone before dispatching and the invoice matched to the dollar. Last company I used added a night surcharge I only found out about at the drop-off.

  • Boosted the car in the GO lot and then load-tested the battery, which is how I found out it was on its way out. He fitted a new one in the parking space. Would have been stranded again by Friday otherwise.
