About us

A local operator, not a call-routing network

Roadside assistance and light-duty towing run out of Aurora since 2014. Our own trucks, our own drivers, and a dispatcher who can tell you where the nearest one is.

How we got here

One truck and a kitchen table

We started with one truck out of Aurora and a phone that rang at the kitchen table. 12 years later there are several trucks and a proper dispatch desk, but the phone is still answered by someone who knows which driver is where.

Most of what we do is unglamorous. A battery that gave up in a commuter lot. A tire that went down on the 404. Keys locked in a running car outside a coffee shop. It is repetitive work, and doing it well is mostly about turning up when you said you would and charging what you said you would charge.

The two things people complain about in this trade are surprise charges and vague arrival times. We have built the business around removing both, which is less a philosophy than a decision about how we want to answer the phone at three in the morning.

Credentials

Licensed and covered

  • Licensed light-duty tow operator
  • $2M commercial general liability
  • On-hook and garage keepers coverage
  • Police-check screened drivers

Certificates are available on request before you agree to anything. Any operator who will not show you theirs is telling you something.

How we work

Four decisions that shape every call

None of these are hard. They are just decisions a lot of operators in this trade have chosen not to make.

  • The quote comes before the truck

Every job is priced on the call. If you decide not to go ahead, that has cost you nothing and we will not push. Pricing someone at their most stuck is the easiest money in this trade and the fastest way to never be called again.

  • Honest arrival windows, including bad ones

During a snowstorm the honest answer is sometimes ninety minutes. We say ninety, because telling you twenty just means you spend seventy minutes wondering whether we are coming at all.

  • No repair-shop kickbacks

We have no arrangement that pays us to steer your car toward a particular garage. Name your shop and that is where it goes. If you have no preference we will suggest one and tell you why we like them.

  • Drivers who work here

Not a lead-broker network that sells your call to whoever is nearest. The person who arrives is on our payroll, police-check screened, and trained on our equipment.

Reviews from calls we would rather people never had to make

  • Slid into the ditch on a concession road at 11pm with no cell bars. They kept the truck rolling to where I said I was instead of giving up when the call dropped. Out in twenty minutes, no damage to the bumper.

  • Quoted me on the phone before dispatching and the invoice matched to the dollar. Last company I used added a night surcharge I only found out about at the drop-off.

  • Boosted the car in the GO lot and then load-tested the battery, which is how I found out it was on its way out. He fitted a new one in the parking space. Would have been stranded again by Friday otherwise.
